Every 2002-7 WRX & STI has a massive baffled chamber in the fender well to silence incoming air. The intake elbow removes this power-robbing plumbing from the intake system, so air enters through the factory inlet duct and goes straight to the air box; improving flow and sound while looking stock. This is a great, cheap power upgrade.

The intake silencer delete elbow is designed for the stock air box; we recommend getting a drop-in air filter with it to maximize results. The intake elbow bolts into the factory location using the included hardware and foam ring air box seal.
